This page contains the current position that Mobility Physiotherapy Limited is taking based on the latest government and our professional body guidance to ensure the health and safety of our patients.

Being a company focussed on health, the safety and wellbeing of our patients is of the utmost importance to us.

We have been advised due to physiotherapy treatment requiring us to be within 2 metres of our patients that we should predominantly be assessing and treating our patients via a virtual approach. This is due to the risk of virus transmission during face to face physiotherapy is highly likely to be the close contact.

As such we will be performing an initial screening for all patients via telephone to decide whether a face to face Physiotherapy sessions is necessary. On completion of the screening and in accordance with guidance of our professional body, we will offer a face to face appointment if we feel that the benefit of it outweighs the risk of catching COVID-19 for both patient and Physiotherapist. This will only be for emergency.

Before confirming a face to face appointment, we will also discuss with our patients the risks of contact and measures that will be taken to mitigate risk.

Any face to face appointments will be at the patient’s home.

We will continue to review the situation and keep you informed of our current practice.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us and we hope that we can help you.

Pilates, Mat-work and Reformer

Built strength and stability

I am a qualified clinical Pilates instructor, qualifying through APPI and DMA.  I am also qualified to teach pre and post natal pilates.  Clinical Pilates is very much prescriptive.

I conduct a thorough assessment to identify overactivity or areas of weakness; perhaps one side of your body is weaker than the other.  Clinical Pilates works specifically on those weaker areas and ensures you’re engaging the correct muscles. This can be offered on the matt (floor or standing). I can also offer one to one reformer Pilates.

Parkinson's (PD Warrior)

Keeping you safe

I have been working with Parkinson’s patients for over seven years and know how difficult coming to terms with the diagnosis can be. I am trained in PDWarrior, which is exercise and movement based treatment. After a full assessment and discussion, we will formulate goals to help with your day to day life. These exercises will be carried out by you independently, ideally daily, once I have ensured your ability to perform the correct technique.

Postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (PoTs)

Aiming to manage symptoms
I work very closely with Dr Sanjay Guptar in the management of patients diagnosed with PoTS. It’s very common for patients to have other diagnoses of EDS, ME, chronic fatigue and CFS leaks. I work with patients in the management of their symptoms. This can be exercise advice, respiratory function, hints and tips on how to manage their symptoms and how to set achievable goals. Everyone is very different and I use my broad knowledge to apply practical help and guidance.  I find that video consultations can be useful, especially if you find attending appointments tiring. Assessments ‘can be 30 minutes or an hour if you prefer’.

Post Operative Therapy and Rehabilitation

Helping you move more

We all had times in our lives when we need a period of recuperation and rehabilitation. This can be following an illness or operation. Generally I work with patients within their homes to assess their current capability. I then work with with them as often as required to ensure they are happy, and to help achieve their goals.
